Basketball 1966
Even though this season's squad was hampered by a slow start, the boys soon came to action and were piling up victories behind them. Towards the end of the season, signs began to point to a possible berth in the state tournament with the Cruisers downing top-rated Yelm 42-29.
The Cruisers then journeyed to District play-offs where by defeating Ocosta, Yelm and Woodland, they won an entry into the tournament. George Gollehon led the team with the top scoring honors by scoring 249 points for an average of 12.4 for the season. Even though the team didn't place in the tournament, the boys made a fine show in their three days there. The Eatonville-Cheney game proved to be one of the most exciting of the tournie, and made state history with having double over-time. EHS 1966 Cruiser Yearbook
